MCC Denominational Transition
Expands Global Ministry Services

Many MCC Resources, Materials Now Available in Spanish, Portuguese

When delegates to MCC's General Conference in Toronto approved the denominational restructuring and transition plan in 2001, one goal was to extend MCC's international ministry and services.

Today, many Spanish and Portugese-speaking MCCers are realizing the positive benefits of that goal -- and participating in MCC's growing global ministry.

For many years, most MCC resources and materials were available primarily in English. But with MCC's new denominational structure, MCCers in Argentina and Brazil have risen to the challenge and are translating MCC documents, newsletters and resources into their native languages.

And best of all, they are making these translated materials available at no cost to all interested persons.

MCC Resources for Spanish-speaking MCCers:

Norberto D'Amico of ICM El Centro (Buenos Aires, Argentina, Region 7), Rev. Dr. Pablo Navarro, longtime MCC leader in Puerto Rico (Region 3), and Rev. Elder Armando Sanchez (Region 2), have worked to establish an MCC e-mail list for Spanish-speaking MCCers.

To sign up for this free e-mail service, send your request to Noberto at: comunicacionesdelcentro@speedy.com.ar

This Spanish list already has more than 500 e-mail subscribers and reaches 2000 Spanish-speaking members and friends of MCC.  This is a great way to receive Spanish-language versions of MCC newsletters, press releases, ministry resources, public statements, prayer alerts, and social justice news.

MCC Resources for Portuguese-speaking MCCers:

ICM Brasil in Region 2 is doing incredible ministry! MCC leaders have already established an MCC presence in 17 cities across Brazil, and have organized a communications system to share MCC resources with local church leaders.

(Incidentally, in the past year, MCC leaders in Brazil have received 3000 individual e-mail inquiries -- and have responded individually to each of them.)

Dr. Marcos Gladstone has worked with other MCC leaders in Brazil to establish a ministry that translates many MCC documents, news alerts, and resources into Portuguese -- and they have established an e-mail list to distribute those materials.

Already there are more than 1000 subscribers to the Portuguese MCC e-mail list!

Thanks to a growing number of MCCers around the world who are assisting with translation services. These leaders, many in local MCC churches, are helping us realize the vision of MCC's new international structure.
