The return of the International AIDS Conference to the United States in July 2012 represents a significant victory for public health and human rights.
The biennial International AIDS Conference is the premier gathering for those working in the field of HIV, as well as policymakers, people living with HIV and others committed to ending the epidemic. It will be a tremendous opportunity for researchers from around the world to share the latest scientific advances in the field, learn from one another’s expertise, and develop strategies for advancing all facets of our collective efforts to treat and prevent HIV.

CHURCH RENEWAL
Creating A Life That Matters
September 17 – 20, 2012
Venice, FL
Creating a Life that Matters is a three-course curriculum which explores ways to rediscover relationship with the Sacred, with my Self, and with my Passion. These three courses correspond to the spiritual experiences of being changed, gifted and called. Graduates of Creating a Life that Matters will have been challenged to broaden their understanding of all that is Sacred; integrate their self-awareness into being authentic, aware leaders; and live their passion intentionally through the life and work of the church.
Creating a Life that Matters integrates art, scripture, music, film, journaling, and diverse spiritual resources to augment our exploration of the Christian Path.

Church Size Summits
August 24 – 25, 2012
Sunshine Cathedral MCC, Ft. Lauderdale, FL
In 2011, 37 churches attended one of the 3 Church Size Summits that were offered in the U.S. The body of work that is called Church Size Theory has truly transformed the churches who have participated so we want to give all churches who have not attended an opportunity to do so in 2012. The Summits, led by your Elders, will provide every church with a thorough assessment, feedback, and great education about church size theory. The experience will be enhanced if the Pastor, Board, Staff and other leaders are in attendance.

Stewardship Summits
June 8 – 9, 2012
All God’s Children MCC – Minneapolis, MN
Sept. 21 – 22, 2012
King of Peace MCC – St. Petersburg, FL
As a result of doing 134 church assessments for the Church Size Summits in 2010 and 2011, it is clear that churches are struggling with issues that surround Stewardship so we are eager to work with churches to improve all aspects of Stewardship in the local church. Though we offered some recommendations to churches at the Size Summits we are very aware that we need to delve into this area more deeply. We suggest that the pastor, Stewardship Teams and those interested in serving in that capacity, and Board members who oversee Stewardship attend this summit.

We encourage all individuals and teams involved in planning, implementing, and supporting worship in your church to attend.

Programming Summits
Nov 9 – 10, 2012
MCC Austin at Freedom Oaks – Austin, TX
As a result of the Church Size Summits we have done over the last two years, we realize that a component missing from the life of many of our churches is PROGRAMMING.
This experience will be interactive, fun and full of new learning! We suggest that the pastor, staff and/or volunteers who are or might like to be involved in Christian Education for all ages, Outreach Efforts, Ministry Teams and Small Groups attend this summit.
